
Katie Babcock is a board-approved Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is the founder of Counseling for Professionals, a private practice dedicated to supporting adult professionals in navigating challenges such as trauma, addiction, attention difficulties, burnout, grief, and domestic violence.
Katie began her career at Sheppard Pratt Health System and has worked across diverse clinical settings, including inpatient, residential, outpatient, school-based programs, private practice, and substance abuse treatment. Her diverse clinical experience has given her a deep understanding of complex and systemic post-traumatic stress, shaping her approach to both individual care and community-focused advocacy.
In addition to her clinical practice, Katie provides trainings and collaborates with organizations, universities, and sports teams on mental strength, resilience, and burnout prevention. She holds advanced certifications in trauma and ADHD treatment, is trained in EMDR, and actively volunteers with the Pro Bono Counseling Project and the Glyndon Volunteer Fire Department, where she was honored with the 2023 President’s Award for her service.
Katie brings both personal and professional experience to her mental health advocacy and activism, with a passion for helping individuals, teams, and communities heal and thrive in the face of unresolved trauma and systemic challenges.
